Free, Live Tool and Technology Webinars for Instructional Designers

Free Webinars for Instructional Designers

Just this morning, I overheard our Instructional Designers (IDs)—Irene and Ike—talking in the break room (Irene is a senior ID and Ike is a new ID.): Irene ID: So, we need to create SWF and HTML5 output files for an e- and m- Learning course. Ike ID: For what type of course? Irene ID: An eLearning course is viewed on a desktop computer and an mLearning (mobile learning) course is viewed from a mobile device, such as an iPad, iPhone, Android, etc. Learners can go back and forth from desktop to iPad—stop here, go there. Ike ID: So, how do we create SWF and HTML5? Irene ID: We don’t, the tool does—in this case, Captivate 6. Ike ID: And, how do you know this? Irene ID: I learned it this morning, right at my desk. Ike ID: How? Irene ID: A free, live webinar Ike ID: I like that! Are there more? Irene ID: I don’t know. I suppose so. And so, I walked away from that break room with an idea. I could help Irene, Ike and other instructional designers by writing this post on where to find free, live webinars on the latest tools and technologies. So, here goes:
