It’s time for Dialog-based Learning!

Dialog based learning, indeed, is a proven way of teaching and keeping learners engaged.

Today, we will understand how dialogs help us add a human touch to our courses, thus making them more engaging and interesting for the learners. Let’s take a quick look to see how dialogs help us bid boredom goodbye from our courses.

Make Content Realistic through Dialogs

Presenting dry content to learners is a general practice followed by many. We tend to simply describe a situation and end up providing some steps as a solution. Isn’t it time to bring some change?

Well, consider the following tips:

  1. Instead of describing, indulge in creating a situation.

  2. Use relevant characters and narration.

  3. While scripting a dialog between characters ensure to make the content informative and precise.

Check out the 2 samples below to differentiate between the descriptive and the dialog-based learning approach:

A descriptive approach fails to be impactful since it does not relate closely to real life. The dialog-based approach helps learners to relate themselves to the situation and is thus quite impactful.

A Great Tool for Creating Dialog-based Learning

One tool that I generally use while creating dialogs is Raptivity. Raptivity has come up with an exciting interaction called Character Dialog. To check out the amazing samples of Character Dialog, click here.
